Our Policies- in place for your best stay possible Our proximity to the city center, restful ambience, hearty breakfasts and fabulous hospitality makes us the ideal location for your stay. And we want you and your fellow guests to have the most relaxing and restful stay possible. Our policies are in place to ensure that.
Room rates are based on double occupancy (two people) and do not include the municipal occupancy tax of 12% per night. Room rates do include our great service, breakfast and snacks, coffee and tea, wi-fi and parking. Extra persons, including infants and children, are an additional $30 / person / night.
Check-in time is 3 p.m. We generally use a self check-in process. Late arrivals are not a problem, and are easily accommodated with our self check-in process.
Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. We cant' be flexible about the check-out time because we need to get the rooms ready for our next guests. However, guests are always welcome to stash luggage after check-out for the day, or longer.
Quiet hours are observed from 10p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Breakfast We believe in breakfast and the power of great conversation. We serve up a two course breakfast, family style, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 9:00 a.m. The typical starter course is juices, tea and coffee alongside fruit, yogurt and our housemade granola. This is followed by a hot, protein-based entree. Breakfast to-go bags can be provided for those leaving before 8 a.m. Please let us know at least 24 hours prior, if you need an early go-bag.
Pets We regret that we can't allow pets. We can provide a great referral to a local pet hotel.
Smoking is enjoyed outside on the deck. Ashtrays are provided. Mainstream tobacco only, please.
Courteous social drinking is just fine. We ask that you provide your own alcoholic beverages. Glasses and barware are available for use.
Shoes Inside We ask that you remove your shoes once you are inside the Inn. (It's an Alaska thing, due to mud and snow.) Remember to pack some slippers!
Children are welcome. Please be aware that we are not a child-proofed facility. A high chair and pack-and-play crib are available upon request.
Environmental Considerations We are green and recycle. Linens are freshly clean on arrival and are changed every seven days unless you request otherwise. Towels are changed out every three days, or more often on request. We ask that you place your recyclables in the designated collection containers in the kitchen.
Privacy As a general rule, outside of the 3/5 guidelines stated above, we respect your privacy and don't enter your room while you are here. If you would like us to tidy up, empty trash, change your bed or refresh towels or linens, etc. at any time, please, just let us know. We are happy to do it!
Reservations & Cancellations A deposit equal to 1/2 of the total booking is required. Seven days notice is required for a refund, less a $25 handling fee per day booked.
Cleaning Fee Multiple night stays are requested. A $25 dollar surcharge / cleaning fee will be charged for one night stays. This is waived for guests who book with us directly.
Final Balance We will charge the final balance of your bill to the card on file on the day of arrival unless you notify us in advance that you'd like to settle up in another manner. We happily accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, or cash.
We do not provide refunds on early departures.
